E-Riderz Warranty Policy

At E-RIDERZ, we stand behind the quality of the high-performance electric unicycles (EUCs) and accessories we supply. This Warranty Policy outlines your protections and our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and our 12-Month Limited Warranty.
1. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW GUARANTEES
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. 12-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY
In addition to your rights under the ACL, E-RIDERZ provides a 12-Month Limited Warranty on all new products.
Duration: Starts from the date of delivery or collection.
Coverage: Covers defects in materials and workmanship arising under normal and ordinary use.
Eligibility: Valid only for the original owner and is non-transferable.
Usage Limit: Claims are valid only if the vehicle has recorded fewer than 1,000 kilometres in total and has not been used for commercial purposes (e.g., courier or delivery services).

4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED (EXCLUSIONS)
The Limited Warranty does not cover issues arising from:
Physical Damage: Crashes, impacts, drops, or misuse.
Environmental: Water damage (even for units with high IP ratings), exposure to extreme heat, or improper storage.
Maintenance: Failure to perform routine maintenance (screw tightening, brake adjustments).
Software/Modifications: Attempts to "flash" firmware, reset software, or modify internal components/wiring.
Operational Limits: Exceeding stipulated weight limits or "pushing" the motor beyond its technical capabilities (e.g., burnt controllers from over-acceleration).
Unauthorised Repairs: Attempts to repair the product at home without direct instruction from E-RIDERZ, or repairs by unauthorised third parties.
Wear & Tear / Consumables: Tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, hydraulic fluid, spokes (after 30 days), pedals, kickstands, and plastic fenders.
5. THE WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS
If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, follow these steps:
Submit Evidence: Email support@e-riderz.com.au with your order number, a detailed description of the fault, photos of all sides of the unit, and video evidence of the issue.
Initial Assessment: Our technicians will troubleshoot remotely. We may ship spare parts and provide instructions for simple "at-home" repairs if appropriate.
Return for Service: If remote repair is not possible, the unit must be returned to our Tingalpa, QLD workshop or an authorised service centre.
6. SHIPPING COSTS
Within 30 Days of Receipt: If a warranty fault is confirmed, E-RIDERZ will cover the costs of return shipping. If the fault is found to be caused by user error/damage, the customer must reimburse E-RIDERZ for all shipping and inspection costs.
After 30 Days: The customer is responsible for all costs associated with transporting the product to and from the E-RIDERZ service centre.
7. REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT TERMS
Like-for-Like: We will repair or replace the unit with an identical or similar model at our discretion.
Warranty Period Reset: If a unit or part is replaced, the warranty period does not reset. It remains valid for the remainder of the original 12-month period from the initial purchase date.
Availability: If parts are unavailable in Australia, we may experience delays. We reserve the right to offer an alternative unit of similar value if a timely repair is not possible.
8. SERVICE FOR NON-WARRANTY ISSUES
If a product is out of warranty or the damage is not covered (e.g., water damage/crash), E-RIDERZ may offer repair services at the customer's expense. Labour and parts will be quoted before work commences.
